WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, June 3 (UPI) -- Jay Haas carded a 5-under-par 66 Sunday, breezing to his 16th career Champions Tour victory at the Principal Charity Classic.

Haas, who came into the final round with a three-stroke lead, finished at 16-under 197 and a five-shot cushion at Glen Oaks Country Club in Iowa.

That mark matched the tournament record set by Gil Morgan in 2006 and gave Haas his second victory of the season.

Kirk Triplett set a course record with a round of 9-under 62 Sunday, but settled for a share a second place with Larry Mize (68) at minus-11.

Tom Lehman (68) and Fred Funk (66) ended knotted fourth at 10-under.
