NBA: Boston 94, Charlotte 82

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 15 (UPI) -- Rajon Rondo scored 20 points and distributed 16 assists Sunday, helping the Boston Celtics down Charlotte 94-82 despite resting a pair of starters.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett sat out the game a day after the Celtics clinched a playoff berth, but it hardly mattered against the Bobcats.

Avery Bradley and Brandon Bass filled in with 22 points apiece for Boston, which claimed its 11th win in 14 games while solidifying its hold on the Eastern Conference's fourth seed.

Charlotte, meanwhile, dropped its 16th straight game despite 22 points from Gerald Henderson.

The Bobcats haven't won since March 17.
