NBA: Detroit 109, Charlotte 85

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 12 (UPI) -- Greg Monroe hit 11-of-14 shots and scored 25 points with 11 rebounds Thursday, sending Detroit to an easy 109-85 conquest of Charlotte.

The Bobcats have lost 14 consecutive games and need to win three of their last nine contests this season to reach double digits in victories.

Charlotte has not won since March 17, when it downed Toronto.

Brandon Knight hit three long-range shots and added 21 points for the Pistons, who had lost three in a row. Detroit shot 52 percent as a team and outrebounded Charlotte by 13.

Derrick Brown and D.J. Augustin both had 13 points for Charlotte, which was outscored by 18 points in the third period and trailed by 30 going into the fourth quarter.
