NBA: Detroit 99, Washington 94

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 5 (UPI) -- Greg Monroe led a balanced Detroit attack that opened a 20-point lead in the fourth period Thursday and the Pistons held on to defeat Washington 99-94.

Monroe had 18 points, Rodney Stuckey had 15 and Tayshaun Prince contributed 14 as part of Detroit's third straight win.

Detroit went on a 10-0 run early in the final period to open an 88-68 advantage. The Pistons shot 52 percent from the field.

John Wall had 28 points and 10 assists for Washington, which has lost four in a row. Washington has won 12 games this season and has managed a mere five victories on the road.
