After Winnipeg goaltender Chris Mason stopped Dany Heatley to open the fourth round, Kane put a wrist shot past Niklas Backstrom to snap the Jets' two-game losing streak.

Kane tied it at 1-1 with 1:13 to go in the first period and put the Jets in front early in the second, giving him 21 goals for the season.

Minnesota took a 3-2 lead on goals by Devin Setoguchi in the second period and Mikko Koivu in the third, but Alex Burmistrov lifted Winnipeg back into a tie with 17 minutes left in regulation.

All three Winnipeg regulation goals came on slap shots. Mason was credited with 22 saves.
