
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- JaVale McGee scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Saturday, leading Washington to its first road win of the season, a 102-99 victory over Charlotte.
McGee also blocked five shots for the Wizards, who came into the contest with an 0-8 record away from home.
Nick Young pumped in 21 points, while John Wall provided 13 and 10 assists as the Wizards improved to 4-18 overall.
Trevor Booker came off the bench for 16 points and Jordan Crawford added 12 and seven assists for Washington.
Charlotte dropped an eighth straight game despite the first career triple-double for rookie Kemba Walker, who produced 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.
Byron Mullens provided a career-high 23 points and Boris Diaw donated 21 and 10 assists for the Bobcats.
