DENVER, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Danilo Gallinari pumped in 20 points and keyed an 11-0 run at the end of the game that carried Denver past the Los Angeles Lakers 99-90.
Trailing 90-88 with 2 minutes left, Denver got a basket from Andre Miller to tie it and Gallinari then put the Nuggets ahead for good with a dunk.

He also came up with five steals as the Nuggets split a home-and-home series with the Lakers.
Kobe Bryant managed just 6-of-28 from the field, including 1-of-8 from 3-point territory, finishing with 16 points for Los Angeles.
Andrew Bynum notched a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds while Pau Gasol did likewise, contributing 20 and 11 for the Lakers.
