ST. LOUIS, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Chris Stewart scored twice Monday and the St. Louis Blues survived a third-period Dallas comeback to beat the Stars 5-3.

Stewart's second goal was an empty-netter that iced the victory after the Stars had pulled to within 4-3 on late tallies from Eric Nystrom and Michael Ryder.

Jason Arnott, Adam Cracknell, Evgeny Grachev scored for the Blues, while David Perron and Patrik Berglund each added a pair of assists.

Jaroslav Halak made 20 saves in the Blues' second straight win.

Starting Dallas goalie Richard Bachman was pulled after two periods. He made 22 saves on 25 shots, while Andrew Raycroft turned aside 11-of-12 shots in the third.

Mike Ribeiro also scored for the Stars.
