THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Zach Johnson's eagle on the 18th hole Saturday gave him a one-stroke lead over Tiger Woods after three rounds of the Chevron World Challenge.
Johnson's eagle on the par-4 final hole capped a round of 4-under 68. He ended 54 holes at 8-under 208, one shot ahead of Woods, who bogeyed three of the five holes en route to a round of 1-over 73.
If Woods, the tournament host, can come back for a win, he'd post his first victory anywhere since the 2009 JBWere Masters. Johnson, meanwhile, is seeking his first title since last year's Colonial tournament.
K.J. Choi ended Saturday three shots back at minus-5 after rallying from some early struggles to post an even-par round of 72.
Sharing fourth place at 3-under 203 were Americans Matt Kuchar (74), Hunter Mahan (73) and Gary Woodland (70).
