DENVER, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Cory Luebke allowed only one hit over seven innings Monday and the San Diego Padres cruised past the Colorado Rockies 8-2.

Luebke (6-9) yielded only Mark Ellis' two-run homer in sixth inning en route to his first win since Aug. 16.

The left-hander walked three and struck out nine in the gem.

Cameron Maybin and Aaron Cunningham each socked two-run homers for the Padres, who took the opener of a three-game set at Coors Field.

Kevin Millwood (3-3) was roughed up for seven runs (six earned) on nine hits before being pulled after 3 1/3 frames for the Rockies.
