MIAMI, June 5 (UPI) -- Josh Wilson cracked an 11th-inning homer Sunday, handing the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-5 victory over Florida.
After two were out in the top of the 11th, the light-hitting Wilson pulled a pitch from Mike Dunn (4-3) just over the advertising signs on the left field wall to put Milwaukee ahead.
John Axford made the lead hold up with a scoreless bottom of the 11th, notching his 16th save as the Brewers posted their third straight one-run victory over the Marlins.
Tim Dillard (1-0) was credited with the win thanks to 1 2/3 shutout innings of relief.
Rickie Weeks belted a two-run homer and added an RBI single for Milwaukee.
Brett Hayes launched a grand-slam homer in the sixth for the Marlins, who staged a five-run rally that wiped out a 5-0 deficit and forced extra frames.
