MLB: Milwaukee 3, Florida 2

MIAMI, June 5 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt doubled in the go-ahead run and Yovani Gallardo became baseball's second eight-game winner Saturday in Milwaukee's 3-2 win over Florida.

The Brewers scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning, erasing a 2-1 deficit.

Prince Fielder launched an opposite-field solo blast to left-center field with one out to forge a 2-2 tie. One out later, Jonathan Lucroy singled and Betancourt blasted 1-0 pitch high off the left-field wall, pushing home the go-ahead run.

Gallardo (8-2) won his sixth straight start, tying Pittsburgh's Kevin Correia for the major league lead with eight wins.

The Brewers right-hander allowed six hits and two walks that yielded Marlins two runs (one earned).He carded five strikeouts.

Three relievers teamed up for two innings of scoreless ball and John Axford notched his 15th save in the ninth.

Chris Volstad (2-5) absorbed the loss for Florida, allowing three runs on six hits over seven innings.

Gaby Sanchez went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Marlins.
