MLB: St. Louis 9, Los Angeles Dodgers 5

LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- Matt Holliday drove in three runs and Albert Pujols homered for St. Louis Thursday, propelling the Cardinals to a 9-5 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Holliday doubled twice among his three hits and scored two runs, and Yadier Molina added two hits and a pair of RBI in the Cards' 16-hit attack.

Lance Berkman contributed two hits and crossed the plate twice for St. Louis, which won for the fourth time in five games.

Jaime Garcia (2-0) earned the win, yielding three runs (two earned) on eight hits over five innings, walking two while striking out a pair of batters.

Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda (2-1) was roughed up for five earned runs on 10 hits in a five-inning start.

Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBI while Jamey Carroll added three hits and a run batted in for Los Angeles.
