COL BKB (W): Baylor 86, Green Bay 76

DALLAS, March 27 (UPI) -- Brittney Griner fired in 40 points Sunday, leading top-seeded Baylor into the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight with an 86-76 win over Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Griner's 40-point performance was a career high and set a school NCAA tourney scoring record for the Bears (34-2), who now go on to face Texas A&M in the Dallas Region finals Tuesday for the right to advance to the Final Four.

Griner also grabbed 10 rebounds to go with six blocked shots. Odyssey Sims added 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to offset eight turnovers for Baylor.

Kayla Tetschlag led the fifth-seeded Phoenix (34-2) with 27 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out in the second half.

Green Bay saw its 25-game winning streak come to an end despite 20 points from Celeste Hoewisch.
