NBA: Chicago 98, Washington 79

CHICAGO, March 15 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose scored 23 points Tuesday and the Chicago Bulls downed Washington 98-79 despite 12 blocked shot by the Wizards' JaVale McGee.

Rose dished out seven assists and Luol Deng added 20 points and seven rebounds for Chicago, which logged its seventh straight win.

Keith Bogan contributed 17 points and grabbed five boards for the Bulls, who improved to 48-18 and moved into first place in the Eastern Conference past idle Boston (47-18).

McGee achieved his first-career triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocks. It was the first 12-block performance in an NBA game since Keon Clark did the trick in 2001.

Jordan Crawford fired in 27 points and John Wall added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Washington, which dropped to 1-30 away from home this season.
