NBA: LA Lakers 90, Oklahoma City 87

OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum combined for 34 points and 21 rebounds Sunday and the Los Angeles Lakers held on for a 90-87 victory over Oklahoma City.

Gasol scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Bynum contributed 16 and 10 for Los Angeles, which notched its fourth straight win since the All-Star break.

The Lakers' victory, however, was assured only after Kevin Durant and James Harden each missed potential game-tying 3-pointers in the final seconds for Oklahoma City.

Kobe Bryant scored 17 points and dished off seven assists and Ron Artest chipped in with 10 points for the victors, who used a tenacious defense to hold the Thunder to only 13 third-quarter points.

Russell Westbrook netted 22 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished off six assists and Durant added 21 points for Oklahoma City, which logged its third straight loss.
