NHL: Ottawa 1, Toronto 0 (SO)

TORONTO, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Jason Spezza got the only goal of a shootout and newly acquired Craig Anderson made 47 stops Saturday in the Ottawa Senators' 1-0 win over Toronto.

After both teams battled to a scoreless draw, Anderson -- who was obtained by the Senators this week from the Colorado Avalanche in a trade for goalie Brian Elliott -- stopped the Leafs' Tyler Bozak and Mikhail Grabovski in the first two rounds of the tiebreaker.

Spezza then beat James Reimer and Nikolai Kulemin missed on Toronto's final chance, handing the Senators only their third win in 21 games.

Anderson logged a 47-save shutout in his debut for Ottawa, the 15th whitewash of his career, including four stops in an overtime frame that featured a 4-on-3 Toronto power play.

Reimer, meanwhile, notched his second career shutout in his 13th career start for the Maple Leafs, turning aside all 22 shots he saw as Toronto fell to 6-3-1 in February.
