NEW YORK, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Ryan Callahan scored twice during a string of five straight goals Sunday that lifted the New York Rangers to a 5-3 victory over Pittsburgh.
Callahan scored on a power play midway through the first period to tie the score at 2-2 and then gave New York a 4-2 advantage on another power play goal halfway through the second.
The Rangers right winger also contributed an assist. Brian Boyle, Vinny Prospal and Artem Anisimov added markers for New York, which broke a six-game losing streak.
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 26-of-29 shots for New York.
Deryk Engelland, Nick Johnson and Brett Sterling found the net and Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 26-of-31 shots for the Penguins, who have been hit by a rash of recent injuries and suspensions handed down by the NHL in the wake of Friday's brawl-filled loss to the New York Islanders.
