INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Josh McRoberts scored Indiana's last points with 76 seconds to play Wednesday and the Pacers barely held on to defeat Charlotte 104-103.
The Pacers led by as many as 17 points late in the third period, but the Bobcats came all the way back to tie it when Gerald Wallace hit a jumper with 1:40 to go.
The shot by McRoberts put Indiana back in front by two and the only point either side could make the rest of the way came on a free throw by Wallace with 29 seconds left.
Stephen Jackson missed a would-be, game-winning 3-point attempt at the buzzer for Charlotte.
Rob Hibbert made 12-of-17 shots from the field and scored 29 points to lead Indiana. Danny Granger added 25.
Jackson had 27 and Wallace produced 22 points for the Bobcats.
