NHL: Calgary 4, Tampa Bay 2

CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Rene Bourque had a goal and two assists and Miikka Kiprusoff registered 22 saves Tuesday in the Calgary Flames' 4-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Bourque's goal at 4:43 of the second period staked the Flames to a 3-0 lead and proved to be the game winner.

Kiprusoff gave up a pair of goals in the same period to Johan Harju and Ryan Malone, which cut the Calgary lead to 3-2, but shut the visitors out in the third period to preserve the win.

Tampa Bay outshot the Flames 24-19. Lighting goalie Dan Ellis gave up all four Flames goals.

Cory Sarich and Tom Kostopoulos scored in the first period to put Calgary ahead 2-0. Kostopoulos' wrist shot off an assist by Bourque at 13:46 was his first goal since he was acquired from Carolina last month.

Jarome Iginla scored a power-play insurance goal in the third period.
