NFL: New England 28, Minnesota 18

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- BenJarvus Green-Ellis scored a pair of touchdowns Sunday, including one in the fourth quarter, and the New England Patriots bested Minnesota 28-18.

After the Vikings pulled to within 21-18 with 7:26 left in the game, New England (6-1) went on a 13-play, 80-yard drive capped by Green-Ellis' 2-yard plunge with 1:56 remaining to put the contest away.

Green-Ellis rushed for 112 yards and Tom Brady completed 16-of-27 passes for 240 yards with a touchdown for the Patriots, who also got 101 yards and three receptions from Brandon Tate.

Brett Favre started the 292nd straight game of his career despite left ankle woes but exited the game late in the fourth quarter when he sustained a hit from Myron Pryor and was taken off the field holding his jaw.

Tarvaris Jackson tossed a TD pass for the Vikings (2-5).

Former New England star receiver Randy Moss was held to one catch for 8 yards in his return to Gillette Stadium.
