NHL: Florida 3, Montreal 1

MONTREAL, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- David Booth put Florida ahead on a penalty shot goal and Tomas Vokoun stopped 40 shots Saturday in the Panthers' 3-1 win over Montreal.

Booth's fourth goal of the year came after officials ruled he was interfered with on a clear scoring chance. He put the puck past Carey Price with 11:19 left in the second period to give Florida the lead for good.

Michael Frolik and Shawn Matthias also found the net for the Panthers, who wrapped up a tough three-game Canadian road swing with a victory after losses to Toronto and Ottawa.

Montreal saw its four-game winning streak snapped. Mathieu Darche scored the Habs' only goal and Price turned away 28 shots in the loss.

The contest saw the return of Montreal defenseman Andrei Markov, who came back from knee surgery he received in May.
