ATLANTA, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Brooks Conrad's third error of the game allowed the go-ahead run to score Sunday in San Francisco's 3-2 National League Division Series win over Atlanta.
The Giants rallied for two runs in the ninth inning to stun the Braves and take a 2-1 lead in their best-of-five NLDS.
Trailing 2-1 and down to their last strike, Aubrey Huff singled in Travis Ishikawa to tie the score.
Then, with runners at first and second, Buster Posey hit a grounder to Conrad but the ball went through the second baseman's legs, sending Freddy Sanchez home with the go-ahead run.
Brian Wilson made the lead hold up, notching a save with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.
Sergio Romo (1-0) got the win despite allowing Eric Hinske to put the Braves ahead with two-run, pinch-hit homer in the eighth.
Craig Kimbrel (0-1) was saddled with the loss for the Braves, who will try to prevent the Giants from advancing to the NL Championship Series in Monday's Game 4 at Turner Field.
