ST. LOUIS, March 3 (UPI) -- David Backes and T.J. Oshie had a goal and an assist each Tuesday and the St. Louis Blues won their fourth straight game, beating Phoenix 5-2.
Chris Mason recorded 37 saves and Andy McDonald, Jay McClement and Brad Boyes tallied the other St. Louis goals.
Joel Perrault scored just 3:43 into the game to put Phoenix ahead 1-0 but the Coyotes did not score again until Matthew Lombardi scored at 8:15 of the third period to close out the scoring.
After Oshie and McClement staked St. Louis to a 2-1 lead in the first period, the Blues put three goals on the board in the second to make it 5-1.
Ilya Bryzgalov gave up all five goals on 22 shots over two periods. Jason LaBarbera stopped all 13 shots he faced in the third period.
