NBA: Miami 87, New Jersey 84

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Quentin Richardson and Jermaine O'Neal each sank two free throws in the final 23 seconds Wednesday, helping the Miami Heat hold off the New Jersey Nets 87-84.

Michael Beasley scored 23 points for Miami, leading the Heat attack after star Dwyane Wade left the game after the first quarter with a calf injury.

Richardson finished with 14 points, Daequan Cook scored 11 and Wade ended up with just eight, ending a string of 148 games in which he scored at least 10.

Brook Lopez posted 26 points for the Nets, who are 5-49, including nine losses in their last 10 games.
