NBA: Portland 98, Philadelphia 90

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Jerryd Bayless made four of Portland's six free throws down the stretch Wednesday that allowed the Trail Blazers to hold on for a 98-90 win over Philadelphia.

The 76ers closed to within two going into the final minute but they did not score another point. Andre Iguodala missed a 3-point try and Lou Williams turned it over, costing Philadelphia a chance at victory.

Bayless, meanwhile, made two free throws with 41 seconds remaining, LaMarcus Aldridge added two more with 34 seconds to go and Bayless tacked on two more with 28 seconds to play.

Andre Miller led Portland with 24 points and Aldridge had 23.

Brandon Roy, Portland's leading scorer at 23.4 points per game, returned after sitting out two contests with a strained hamstring. He played 18 minutes, scored 10 points and was not on the floor with the game was on the line.

Philadelphia was paced by Iguodala with 23 points.
