NHL: Edmonton 3, Florida 2 (SO)

SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Shawn Horcoff's goal in the third round of a shootout Monday gave the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers.

Horcoff's winner, his second goal of the game, was a backhander between the pads of Florida goalie Tomas Vokoun.

Dustin Penner produced the other goal for the Oilers, who have won three in a row.

Florida's Dominic Moore scored twice in the Panthers' third straight defeat.

Edmonton goalie Jeff Deslauriers turned in 33 saves and Vokoun had 26.
