NHL: Colorado 3, Calgary 2

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Rookie defenseman Ryan Wilson scored a goal and added an assist Tuesday to lead the Colorado Avalanche past Calgary 3-2.

Cody McLeod and Milan Hejduk scored 66 seconds apart in the second period and Craig Anderson stopped 34 shots for Colorado.

Jarome Iginla and Rene Bourque scored for the Flames, who outshot Colorado 36-24 but were 0-3 on the power play. Miikka Kiprusoff allowed all three Avalanche goals.

The win kept Colorado atop the NHL Northwest by three points over second-place Calgary.
