NHL: Chicago 3, Minnesota 1

CHICAGO, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Troy Brouwer scored the decisive goal on a first-period power play opportunity Monday and the Chicago Blackhawks beat Minnesota 3-1.

Dave Bolland and Patrick Kane also scored and Cristobal Huet had 20 saves for the Blackhawks, who have two straight games and six of their last eight.

Huet's scoreless streak ended at 113 minutes and 2 seconds when Andrew Brunette scored a third-period goal for the Wild, who have seven losses in their last nine games and have yet to win on the road in eight tries this season.

Niklas Backstrom finished with 30 saves for Minnesota.
