MLB: Florida 8, Los Angeles Dodgers 6

LOS ANGELES, July 26 (UPI) -- Hanley Ramirez had two hits and three RBI Sunday, helping the Florida Marlins record an 8-6 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ramirez's two-run double staked Florida to a 3-0 lead with two outs in the top of the third.

Chris Coghlan, Dan Uggla and Jorge Cantu all had two hits and one RBI, with Uggla hitting a solo fourth-inning homer. One run scored on Rafael Furcal's third-inning error and the Marlins won for the second time in the three-game series.

Winner Chris Volstad (8-9), the first of six pitchers, gave up four runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.

James Loney led Los Angeles with three hits and three RBI. Russell Martin hit a two-run homer, Andre Ethier had two hits and one RBI, and Orlando Hudson had two hits for the Dodgers, had won six of seven.

The losing pitcher was starter Jason Schmidt (1-1). He went just three innings, allowing five runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout.
