MLB: Milwaukee 8, Florida 6

MILWAUKEE, May 13 (UPI) -- Prince Fielder finished off a five-run fourth inning with a two-run single Wednesday, rallying Milwaukee to an 8-6 victory over Florida.

One night after hitting two home runs, Fielder came up with the key hit that led the Brewers to their second straight win over the Marlins and left Florida with a 3-9 record in May.

Chris Coghlan staked Florida to an early advantage with a two-run homer in the first and the Marlins held a 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the fourth.

Milwaukee sent 11 men to the plate in the inning and scored five times off Ricky Nolasco (2-4) and Hayden Penn. All of the damage came after the first two batters of the inning were retired.

Corey Hart and Jason Kendall began the action with walks and Milwaukee pitcher Braden Looper singled home Hart with the first run of the frame. Kendall came in on an infield single by Rickie Weeks, after which Craig Counsell singled home Looper.

Penn then relieved Nolasco and walked Ryan Braun to load the bases. Fielder followed with a single to center to drive in Weeks and Counsell and give the Brewers an 8-4 lead.
