MLB: Seattle 1, Oakland 0

OAKLAND, Calif., April 12 (UPI) -- Seattle's Erik Bedard allowed just three hits in 8 1/3 innings Sunday and the Mariners won their fourth straight game, edging the Oakland Athletics 1-0.

Mike Sweeney drove in the game's only run with a double in the seventh inning.

Bedard (1-0) struck out seven batters and walked one before he was relieved by David Aardsman, who got the final two outs for his second save of the season.

Losing pitcher Trevor Cahill (0-1) took a no-hitter into the seventh when he was tagged for a single by Adrian Beltre and Sweeney's double to center field.
