NHL: Montreal 4, Edmonton 3 (OT)

MONTREAL, March 10 (UPI) -- Saku Koivu got his second goal of the game 1:40 into overtime Tuesday to give the Montreal Canadians a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Mathieu Schneider took a shot from the point and Koivu tipped it in from the slot for the game-winner.

Alex Tanguay and Glen Metropolit also scored for the Canadiens, who were coached by General Manager Bob Gainey after Guy Carbonneau was fired Monday.

Carey Price stopped 29 shots for the win.

Andrew Cogliano, Sheldon Souray and Sam Gagner scored for the Oilers, who have lost three of four. Dwayne Roloson allowed four goals on 26 shots.
