BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- The Buffalo Sabres, led by Derek Roy's goal and two assists Saturday, topped the New York Rangers, 4-2.

Roy's 22nd goal this season upped Buffalo's advantage to 3-0 at 13:42 of the second period. His assists came on first-period goals by Daniel Paille and Andrej Sekera.

Roy leads the Sabres with 57 points (22 goals, 35 assists).

Jochen Hecht also scored one goal. Starting netminder Ryan Miller turned away the 20 shots he faced before exiting two minutes into the third period with an apparent leg injury. Backup Patrick Lalime surrendered two goals on 13 shots for the Sabres, who have won three of their last five games.

New York got one goal apiece from Markus Naslund (power play) and Nigel Dawes, both in the third period.

Henrik Lundqvist surrendered four goals on 33 shots for the Rangers, who have lost eight straight road contests since a 3-2 overtime win Jan. 16 at Chicago.
