NBA: Indiana 98, New Jersey 87

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- T.J. Ford scored 18 points, dished out nine assists and grabbed seven rebounds Wednesday in leading Indiana past New Jersey 98-87.

The Pacers opened a 15-point lead in the third period and held on to win their third consecutive game. New Jersey has dropped three straight.

Marquis Daniels and Jeff Foster scored 16 each for the Pacers and Jarrett Jack had 13. Indiana had six players in double figures for the first time this season.

Vince Carter led New Jersey with 28.

Yi Jianlian hit a three-pointer to start the second half, bringing the Nets within four, but Indiana then took control with a six-point run.

The Pacers had lost in their four previous trips to New Jersey.
