Kjeldsen, Palmer climb in golf rankings

VIRGINIA WATER, England, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Soren Kjeldsen, winner of the weekend Volvo Masters, climbed to No. 47 in the world in the latest Official World Golf Rankings.

Kjeldsen moved up 39 places on the list, released Monday.

Ryan Palmer, who won the Ginn sur Mer Classic in Palm Coast, Fla., gained 161 positions and is now No. 202 in the world.

Tiger Woods is No. 1, followed, in order, by Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Vijay Singh, Padraig Harrington, Robert Karlsson, Camilo Villegas, Anthony Kim, Lee Westwood and Ernie Els.
