NFL: Baltimore 27, Miami 13

MIAMI, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Baltimore's offense and defense bounced back after a disappointing performance against Indianapolis last week, beating the Miami Dolphins Sunday 27-13.

Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco completed 17-of-23 passes for 232 yards and one touchdown.

Willis McGahee scored once after 19 carries for 105 yards.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs returned a first quarter pass interception 44 yards for a touchdown, while the Ravens' defense recorded two critical turnovers and held Miami to 71 rushing yards.

Baltimore (3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak and recorded its first road victory since Oct. 7, 2007, a span of seven contests.

Miami quarterback Chad Pennington went 23-of-34 passing for 280 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Running back Ronnie Brown did not score a touchdown for the first time in five games and was held to 27 yards on 13 carries and placekicker Dan Carpenter booted two field goals for the Dolphins (2-4), who have dropped two straight after convincing wins over New England and San Diego.
