MLB: Minnesota 11, Cleveland 4

CLEVELAND, July 26 (UPI) -- Brian Buscher knocked in five runs Saturday when the Minnesota Twins topped the Cleveland Indians 11-4.

Buscher's three-run homer capped a six-run outburst in the top of the first inning and his two-run single increased Minnesota's lead to 9-0 in the third. Buscher finished with three of Minnesota's 15 hits.

Delmon Young had three hits and two RBI and Jason Kubel drive in two. Joe Mauer and Mike Lamb had one RBI each for the Twins, who snapped their five-game losing streak.

Winner Scott Baker (7-3) gave up three earned runs and five hits in five innings with three walks and five strikeouts.

Cleveland got a two-run single by Jhonny Peralta in the sixth inning single and one RBI each from Kelly Shoppach and Andy Marte. Peralta had two of the eight hits for the Indians, who had won eight of their previous 11 games.

Losing pitcher Fausto Carmona (4-3) was tagged for nine earned runs and seven hits in 2 1/3 innings in his return from the 15-day disabled list with a left hip strain.
