PHILADELPHIA, July 10 (UPI) -- Ryan Howard clubbed his 26th and 27th home runs of the season Wednesday, powering the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Howard, who leads the majors in home runs, hit a two-run homer over the left-center field fence in the first inning and led off the ninth with a solo shot.

Yadier Molina singled in Troy Glaus for the Cardinals' lone run in the fourth.
Jamie Moyer (8-6) was the winning pitcher, scattering seven hits and allowing one run in seven innings.
Losing pitcher Braden Looper (9-7), who worked six innings, allowed four runs and seven hits.
