MLB: Chi. Cubs 4, Chi. White Sox 3

CHICAGO, June 20 (UPI) -- Aramis Ramirez led off the ninth inning Friday with his second solo home run of the game, boosting the Chicago Cubs past the Chicago White Sox 4-3.

The blast led off the bottom of the ninth inning, breaking a 3-3 tie. His first home run came in the seventh inning and followed a solo home run by Derrek Lee.

One run scored on Lee's first inning double play ground out.

The winner was Kerry Wood (4-1).

The White Sox led 3-1 after A.J. Pierzynski's two-run home run in the third.

Jermaine Dye added a solo home run while Nick Swisher had two of the nine hits for the White Sox, who suffered their seventh consecutive road loss.

The losing pitcher was Scott Linebrink (2-2).

White Sox starter John Danks gave up an earned run and five hits in six innings.

Cubs starter Ted Lilly surrendered three earned runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.
