MLB: LA Dodgers 3, Chi. Cubs 0

LOS ANGELES, June 7 (UPI) -- Hiroki Kuroda pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout Friday night to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Kuroda (3-5) struck out 11 and walked none.

The Dodgers went up early, with Jeff Kent's RBI double scoring Delwyn Young in the first inning. Danny Ardoin made it 2-0 in the fourth, driving in James Loney with a fielder's choice.

Ardoin's squeeze bunt drove in Loney in the sixth with the Dodgers' third run. Loney had two hits and a walk for the Dodgers.

Alfonso Soriano, Ryan Theriot, Derrek Lee and Jim Edmonds had the only hits for the Cubs.

Sean Gallagher (3-2) started and took the loss for Chicago, giving up two runs on three hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Dodgers' second baseman Jeff Kent was ejected for arguing balls and strikes after striking out to end the fifth inning.
