MLB: San Francisco 10, Washington 1

WASHINGTON, June 6 (UPI) -- Jose Castillo's three-run homer finished off a seven-run third inning Friday, sending the San Francisco Giants to a 10-1 blasting of Washington.

The Giants had 15 hits in winning for the third time in five games. Ray Durham had three hits and Fred Lewis drove in two runs.

Tim Lincecum (8-1) gave up a run on five hits in seven innings for the victory. He won his fourth straight start.

Jason Bergmann (1-3) was roughed up for 10 hits and eight runs in three innings. It was Washington's fifth loss in six outings.

With the Giants up 1-0, Randy Winn opened the third with a single and moved to third on a base hit by Bengie Molina. After Aaron Rowand lined out, Durham drove in Winn with a single. John Bowker made the second out and the Nationals had a chance to get out of the inning with limited damage but Omar Vizquel singled to load the bases and Lincecum drew a walk to score Molina.

Lewis then singled in two runs and Castillo -- with new life after first baseman Aaron Boone dropped a foul popup -- crushed his three-run homer to center.
