Dementieva's win set up an all-Russian final Sunday after No. 13 seed Dinara Safina trounced Belarusian Victoria Azarenka 6-4 6-1.

Safina will appear in her 10th career final, and will try to take home her sixth crown.

"I'm disappointed that I lost," Azarenka said. "I couldn't perform my best today and was not 100 percent with my leg, but I know I had a strong week here."

Her effort, which included wins against women's superstars Justine Henin and Serena Williams, is expected to help her crack the world's top 20 next week for the first time in her career.

Sunday's Safina-Dementieva winner will earn $196,900.
