MLB: St. Louis 6, Milwaukee 1

ST. LOUIS, April 16 (UPI) -- Braden Looper held Milwaukee to one run over five innings and the St. Louis Cardinals rolled to a 6-1 victory over the Brewers Tuesday.

Skip Schumaker drove in two runs to power the Cards' offense. Adam Kennedy contributed three hits with an RBI and two runs scored as St. Louis won for the third time in its last four games.

Looper (3-0) scattered three hits and five walks interspersed with four strikeouts before turning the game over to Kyle McClellan, Ryan Franklin and Anthony Reyes, who combined to pitch four hitless shutout innings.

Corey Hart managed two hits and drove in the only run for the Brewers, who had their win streak ended at two and have now dropped four of six.

Dave Bush (0-3) surrendered three runs on six hits and two walks in six innings of work. He struck out five.
