NBA: Chicago 100, Cleveland 95

CHICAGO, April 11 (UPI) -- Luol Deng scored a team-high 21 points Friday when the Chicago Bulls surprised the Cleveland Cavaliers 100-95.

The Bulls trailed 33-25 after the first period, when LeBron James scored 24 of his game-high 34 points.

A 15-3 run in the third period led to an 82-65 Chicago lead with 12 minutes left, and Cleveland closed to 85-78 in the fourth period before running out of gas.

Tyrus Thomas scored 20 points with 14 rebounds and three blocked shots. Joakim Noah had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Ben Gordon added 16 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Bulls, who were eliminated from Eastern Conference playoff contention this week.

Cleveland got 20 points with five rebounds from Joe Smith. Delonte West had 16 points, four rebounds and six assists.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 12 points and five rebounds while James added six rebounds and three assists for the Cavaliers, who have lost three of four.
