MLB: Colorado 4, Atlanta 3

DENVER, April 8 (UPI) -- Matt Holliday went 3-for-4 with two RBI Tuesday, boosting the Colorado Rockies to a 4-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-1) recovered from a slow start to earn the win by allowing three runs on six hits in six innings. Taylor Buchholz, Brian Fuentes and Manny Corpas had successive shutout innings in relief.

Jair Jurrjens (1-1) took the loss for Atlanta, yielding four runs on nine hits over seven innings.

Mark Kotsay hit a two-run home run, his first in an Atlanta uniform, while Yunel Escobar drove in the other Braves run.
