NHL: Vancouver 6, Calgary 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 31 (UPI) -- Trevor Linden scored twice and Roberto Luongo stopped 27 shots Sunday night to lead the Vancouver Canucks past Calgary 6-2.

Sami Salo, Markus Naslund, Matt Pettinger and Brad Isbister scored for the Canucks, who ended a four-game losing streak and took a one-point lead over Nashville for the eighth playoff slot in the Western Conference.

David Moss and Matthew Lombardi scored for Calgary, which is seventh in the West, four points behind Minnesota.

Miikka Kiprusoff let in four goals on 13 shots before giving way to Curtis Joseph, who finished the game with 18 saves.

Wayne Primeau opened the scoring for Calgary at 1:13 of the first period, but the Canucks tied it 1-1 at 11:54 on a slapshot by Salo. The Flames went up 2-2 with 1:08 left in the first but the Canucks made it 2-2 27 seconds later -- and then scored four more unanswered goals the rest of the way.
