NHL: Montreal 8, Boston 2

MONTREAL, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Cristobal Huet made 29 saves and Andrei Kostitsyn had two goals and an assist Tuesday, leading the Montreal Canadians to an 8-2 victory over Boston.

The Canadiens have beaten the Bruins nine straight times. Boston's last win against Montreal was March 3, 2007.

Tom Kostopoulos, Bryan Smolinski and Michael Komisarek had a goal and an assist each for Montreal. Michael Ryder, Maxim Lapierre and Alex Kovalev also scored, while Mark Streit had three assists for the Canadians.

Marco Sturm and Petteri Nokelainen both scored for Boston. Bruins goalie Alex Auld allowed four goals on just seven shots in the first period and Tim Thomas gave up four goals on 17 shots.
