NHL: N.Y. Rangers 4, Montreal 1

NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Chris Drury, Martin Straka, Petr Prucha and Nigel Dawes scored Saturday for the New York Rangers, who beat Montreal 4-1 to end a five-game losing streak.

Drury and Straka notched goals in the first period and Prucha and Dawes scored in the second for the Rangers.

Sergei Kostitsyn registered the Canadiens' goal in the third period.

New York goalie Henrik Lundqvist blocked 18 shots. Montreal's Cristobal Huet gave up all the Ranger goals and combined with Jaroslav Halak for 41 saves.
