PHOENIX, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion scored 21 of his 27 points in the first half and had 14 rebounds Monday, carrying the Phoenix Suns to a 137-115 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Marcus Banks, who sank 7 of 8 three-pointers, added 23 points.

The Suns made 20 of 31 three-pointers and were 17 of 18 from the free-throw line.
Grant Hill and Amare Stoudemire had 20 points each. Stoudemire added 10 rebounds for the Suns.
Allen Iverson scored 32 points to lead the Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony added 20 points and 14 rebounds for Denver, which lost for just the second time in eight games.
